LED — lighting for shops, showrooms and hospitality spaces
In many respects the world of retail resembles the world of the showroom and the show:
attracting the customer's attention and presenting the product in the best possible light is crucial. Light — like the layout of the shop and the architecture of the interior — plays an important part in emphasising individuality and exclusivity.
LED luminaires can improve customers' orientation and sense of well-being, and contribute significantly to a company's success. Like stage sets, shops exist to showcase the brand and to present the products at their best.
Creating a visual effect, however, is not the only aim. When working with fresh food, fashion items, cosmetics or jewellery, strong lighting can damage the product.
Many goods are sensitive to heat and must not be exposed to damaging light. One great advantage of LEDs is that they do not degrade the quality of the goods on display through heat or UV/IR radiation.
By choosing the right colour temperature and good colour rendering, any desired lighting effect can be achieved with LEDs. The natural colour of fruit and vegetables, for example, can be intensified with appropriate lighting, emphasising their freshness.
