Lighting Installation
Overview
Professional lighting installation goes far beyond simply mounting luminaires. Delivering a modern lighting system calls for an engineering, electrical and operational approach in which light does not serve a generic function but is matched to the specific activity, to the geometry of the space and to the operating logic of the particular facility.
Pannon Lighting's approach to installation rests on the principle that lighting is one of the most important pieces of infrastructure for work, safety, visual comfort and energy efficiency. Accordingly, we treat every project as a system: the installation is built on validated lighting design, standards-compliant technical content and clearly defined operational goals.
Our B2B-focused team manages the entire delivery process, from technical preparation through installation and system integration to documented handover. The installation is always fitted around the operation of the facility — carried out to a schedule, with disruption to production or business kept to a minimum.
We pay particular attention to ensuring that the lighting system we deliver:
-
complies with the applicable EN standards in force
-
provides the required illuminance levels and uniformity
-
minimises glare and visual strain
-
is cost-efficient in terms of energy and maintenance over the long term
-
supports intelligent building management systems
Throughout the installation process we work in a manufacturer-independent way: for every project we select the luminaires, optics, control solutions and mounting systems that suit the technical, financial and operational requirements of the given environment.
After installation we provide not only technical but also measurement-based quality verification. The illuminance measurement carried out after commissioning, the formal report and the documented handover guarantee that the system as built genuinely delivers the photometric and energy parameters that were designed.
Thanks to this integrated approach, the lighting systems we install are not only modern and standards-compliant but can also be operated reliably and at a sustainable cost level over the long term.
How we work
The lighting installation process step by step
Lighting installation delivers genuine technical and financial results only if it is carried out through a structured process, organised on engineering principles and fully documented.
Pannon Lighting's installation methodology ensures controlled, transparent and scheduled project delivery from preparation to handover, minimising operational risk and production downtime.
1. Site survey and technical data collection
The installation process always begins with a detailed site survey, in which we examine not only the existing lighting system but the entire electrical and architectural infrastructure.
Among other things, we assess:
-
-
ceiling height and fixing points
-
existing luminaires, their accessibility and their wiring
-
available electrical supply options
-
switching systems
-
operating hours and process operation
-
maintenance access
-
This body of data provides the technical and safety foundation for the installation.
2. Installation concept and scheduling
On the basis of the survey we prepare a detailed installation plan, which sets out:
-
-
the installation technology
-
the lifting equipment and scaffolding required
-
occupational safety measures
-
the phasing and scheduling logic
-
working arrangements fitted around production
-
Our aim is to carry out the installation with the least possible disruption to operations — including at weekends, at night or during shutdown windows.
3. Installation of luminaires and system components
The physical installation of the lighting system is one of the most critical stages of the process and the one that demands the greatest professional precision.
This is the phase in which the luminaire layout, optical settings and mounting structure defined during the lighting design are put in place — all of which directly affect the photometric results and long-term operational reliability.

handover for recycling
Waste handling is carried out through our contracted partner, the MOHU system, ensuring that it complies with the relevant legislation.
We provide an official certificate for the waste removed, which our clients can also use for regulatory or ESG compliance purposes — evidence that the dismantled lighting waste has been dealt with properly.
Installation carried out with liability insurance
In our lighting installation work we pay close attention not only to technical quality but also to minimising risk for the client. To this end, all our projects are carried out with valid professional liability insurance in place.
This insurance provides cover for any damage that may arise from the installation work, whether it involves intervention in the electrical network, working at height or installation in an industrial environment.
This is particularly important in operating facilities where:
-
production runs continuously
-
high-value machinery is in use
-
there is a sensitive process environment
-
logistics or warehouse operations are under way
For our clients, this insurance cover is a guarantee that the installation is controlled not only technically but also within a financially and legally secure framework.
What does this mean in practice?
-
Insured installation work
-
Risk-minimised working
-
Contractual security for the client
-
Installation that can be undertaken even in high-value industrial environments
-
Auditable, transparent operation
Trust and compliance
Holding liability insurance means more than legal and financial protection: it is one of the basic conditions of professional installation work. For our partners it is further assurance that they are entrusting their projects to an installer that is stable, reliable and responsible over the long term.
