LED — safety lighting
What exactly is safety lighting?
Safety lighting provides illumination for leaving a building or room safely, or beforehand for attempting to bring potentially hazardous activities to a close. We always prepare our safety lighting designs in accordance with the Hungarian standard in force, currently EN 1838 as published in 2014.
Once the mains supply fails, four lighting methods are needed to allow a room to be left safely:
- Escape route lighting
Its purpose is to help people evacuate the building safely and as quickly as possible, and to support the immediate use of firefighting and safety equipment.
- Anti-panic lighting for large spaces
Its purpose is to reduce the likelihood of panic developing in large spaces.
- Lighting for high-risk work areas
Its purpose is to allow those carrying out particularly hazardous work to shut their machinery down safely in the event of a power failure and then leave the building.
- The use of safety signs
Their purpose is to provide adequate visual conditions and clear orientation when a building is being evacuated.
